Meet Jennifer Fishe

Jennifer Fishe is a lead direct support professional and has been at the Center of Hope for four years. We asked Jennifer to share some of her thoughts about the time he has been at the Center.
Please describe your role at the Center. As the lead DSP in Hope Industries, I oversee paid work. I train and supervise participants involved in paid work to improve their success in earning a paycheck. I teach the importance of job skills and the expectations that go into the different jobs that are offered at Center of Hope.
Why did you choose this field? I chose this field of work due to my love and passion for helping others. I once read somewhere that when you find a job you love, you never have to work a day in your life. God knew what He was doing when He placed me at Center of Hope.
What advice would you give someone who is interested in working at the Center? My advice to anyone interested in working at the Center of Hope is to open your heart. Be patient – these individuals have so much to offer and help me to be a better person every day.
What is the biggest change you’ve seen? The biggest change I have experienced is the adjustments that took place due to COVID. Unfortunately, we still do not have all our participants back at the Center of Hope due to capacity. However, we all stepped up as a team and built stronger relationships with each other because of it.
What keeps you at the Center?  What keeps me at the Center of Hope is the love I have for my job. I could not imagine working anywhere else. The genuine connections I have built with the participants have shown me how special they are and how much joy they continue to bring to my life.
