Meet Laura Rogers

Laura Rogers is a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP). She’s been with the Center of Hope for 11 years. We asked Laura to share some of her thoughts about the time she has been at the Center.

Please describe your role at the Center. I work at managing and solving problems for the staff and participants of Rooms 4, 5 and 13.

Why did you choose this field? After working in managerial roles in food service for years I wanted something more meaningful.

What advice would you give someone who is interested in working at the Center? It will change your life.

What is the biggest change you’ve seen over the years? The emphasis on participant rights and choices have become center of their programs.

What keeps you at the Center?  The love of participants. They are resilient, understanding, and they energize me.
