DSP Week: Showing appreciation for our Direct Support Professionals
Every year we say our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the best, and this year is truer than ever! Everyone at the Center of Hope, including supervisors, directors and especially the participants appreciate everything our DSPs do on a daily basis. We are grateful for their dedication, hard work, determination and compassion, which makes a difference every day.
“Every year we try to make Direct Support Professional (DSP) Week special for our rock star DSPs. This year we had a variety of activities inspired by our participants who came up with so many wonderful ideas,” said Tammy Chandler, human resources generalist.
The week started with muffins and coffee. And a group of participants baked cookies for the DSPs. The next day snacks were given, including popcorn and cookies. Wednesday, the DSPs enjoyed lunch from Panera. Thursday was all about being thankful. The DSPs were given Thank You cards made by the participants. In addition, there were cards from their supervisors and directors. Friday, during Staff Development Day, everyone watched a slide show highlighting its wonderful staff. Then the DSPs were given COH designed tumblers filled with candy and a raffle number for a special prize.
Thank you to our DSPs for the lives they touch. We appreciate everything you do!
