Center of Hope receives three new vehicles through State

The Barbara Olson Center of Hope was awarded three vehicles through the Consolidated Vehicle Procurement (CVP) program supported by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). This program provides accessible vehicles to enhance both general public transportation and specialized transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. As a recipient, the Center plays a vital role in supporting mobility, connection, and opportunity for people across Illinois.
Due to the supply shortages and inflation experienced in 2022, there was a delay in the distribution of vehicles to agencies like ours. We are pleased to share that we have now received one bus and two minivans. One of the minivans is equipped with side-loading accessibility for individuals using wheelchairs, while the other can accommodate two wheelchairs via rear entry.
We are thrilled to incorporate these new vehicles into our fleet. They will be used not only for community outings but also to support transportation for individuals attending programs at the Center of Hope.
