Meet Loren Young

Loren is a direct support professional (DSP) and job coach at the Center of Hope and has been on staff since June 2023. We asked Loren to share some of his thoughts about the time he has been at the Center.

Please describe your role at the center. DSP/ job coach, 1yr on the 12thof June, I try to help the clients were ever I can.

  1. Why did you choose this field? I chose this field because it gives me a opportunity to help people that get over looked most times.
  2. What advice would you give someone who is interested in working at the Center? What I would tell people is that you have to have a heart for people to be successful in this field, and to let your personality shine through because that’s what makes the difference.
  3. What is the biggest change you’ve seen over the years? Leadership has gotten closer to the staff and that makes it feel more like a family and not just a job.
  4. What keeps you at the Center? I like how close the teams are because it feels like we really look out for each other. Plus, my guys really show the love in here.
  5. Anything else you’d like to add? Anything else i would say is that I am grateful for the opportunity to be back here and use some of my skills to help people and that I like how love has been shown towards my family (my aunt and my uncle Bill) and me.
