Lynn DeLacey is Board Secretary at the Center of Hope and has served on the Board for 10 years. We asked Lynn to share some of her thoughts about the Center and her time on the Board.
Why did you choose to join the Board? My mother was Barbara Olson and my sister Joan decided to retire from the board, they didn’t have to ask me twice! I have served on a multitude of committees and find the board to be a dedicated group of people who work together so well.
What would you say to a prospective Board member? It is a rewarding position and when you meet the participants – well, that says it all!
What is the biggest change you’ve seen over the years? I think the breakdown of funding and the overwhelming regulations make it difficult to provide the kind of services we would like.
What keeps you on the Board? Keeping my mom’s dream alive.
Anything else you’d like us to know? Thank you to the staff and their dedication to the Center.
