Try Beta Foundation grants Center of Hope $1,250

Barbara Olson Center of Hope is proud to announce it has received a $1,250 grant from the Try-Beta Club to purchase art program equipment and an iPad for individuals with developmental disabilities to help them express themselves, when other forms of communication may be limited or not possible.

Often, for individuals with severe disabilities, accomplishing tasks such as communicating with others or participating in daily living activities can be a challenge.  iPads are tools to overcome these challenges and enable people living with Autism and related disabilities a means to enhance the quality of their lives through educational apps and activities.

Creating art is a positive and safe way in which our participants feel comfortable expressing their emotions. The art drying rack preserves the works created by our participants by providing a dedicated space for the participants to know their masterpieces are safe and will be waiting form them when they return to the Center.
