Meet Ariana Nichols

Ariana is a direct support professional (DSP). She has been at the Center of Hope for four years. We asked Ariana to share some of her thoughts about the time she has been at the Center.
How long have you been at the Center? Four years all together, but I did leave to finish school. After I graduated I came right back.
Please describe your role at the Center? DSP I support and help my guys with everyday task while they’re with me at the Center. That being a physical task or emotional support.
Why did you choose this field? I absolutely love helping or caring for people.
What advice would you give someone who is interested in working at the Center? Never forget why we do what we do. Patience and kindness will definitely take you a long way.
What is the biggest change you’ve seen over the years? How each year my participants and I understand each other more. We all can be ourselves in a safe place we created.
What keeps you at the Center?  My amazing work team and my participants, honestly.
