BARBARA OLSON CENTER OF HOPE RECEIVES GRANT FROM POWERTRAIN ROCKFORD

Barbara Olson Center of Hope is proud to announce it has received a community grant from Powertrain Rockford to purchase tech equipment for a new music program for our participants with developmental disabilities called Inclusive Instruments.

According to the developers of Inclusive Instruments, “Music should be accessible to all, even, and especially, to those who motor control might not let them play conventional instruments. Inclusive Instruments transforms tablet computers and other mobile devices into adaptive instruments for anyone with a disability.”

“We want to give each participant the opportunity to participate in a different way of experiencing music,” said Kelley Peterson, director of participant services.
