Eddie B. wins 2025 SaG Award

Congratulations to participant Eddie B. for winning this year’s Barb Mosny Selflessness and Generosity Award (SaG Award) for always being willing to help others whenever needed.

Eddie was nominated for the SaG award this year for his selfless and generous acts with his peers and staff throughout the year. Eddie consistently goes above and beyond in everything he does. He is constantly looking for ways to help. Whether he is offering to take your shredding, asking for extra tasks, watching you take on a big project- where you are cleaning out a whole area, or lending a hand where it is needed, Eddie shows up with a can-do attitude and a willingness to work hard.

Every afternoon, Eddie checks in with staff member Bill, eager to know what he can assist with next. No task is too small, and no request is ever met with hesitation. Eddie helped a lot on the garden project; he learned how to work with tools and wood, he helped fill the garden beds, and even offered to help with the tractor. Eddie is truly one of the most selfless, generous, and hard-working people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His dedication, humility, and drive make a lasting impact on everyone around him. I am beyond grateful for all that he does and his unwavering commitment to the Center.

The Barb Mosny Selflessness and Generosity Award is a way to honor Barb Mosny, whose selflessness, generosity, and dedication have left a lasting impact on everyone at the Center. Employed here since 1995, Barb was a steadfast advocate for our individuals, always keeping their needs and well-being at the forefront of her efforts. Her daughter Julie, who attends the Center, is a testament to Barb’s commitment, not only as a parent but as a tireless supporter of all those she serves. Barb’s caring nature continues to inspire us all, and this award stands as a tribute to her ongoing legacy of compassion and care.
