Center of Hope begins garden renovation project

Barbara Olson Center of Hope is proud to announce it has received two grants to help renovate our produce garden space. The Center of Hope received a $10,000 grant from Helen Brach Foundation and $2,400 from Alpine Kiwanis Charities. The new area will include 12 raised garden beds on a concrete pad to make the garden area more physically accessible to our participants who have limited mobility. In addition, LawnCare by Walter is donating 45 yards of black dirt.

The garden is planted and maintained by our participants who have intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can be as independent as possible and to build skills they can use out in the community.
