The need for inclusive services has never been greater. Adults with IDD and their families depend on accessible programs the provide stability, personal growth, and meaningful connection throughout adulthood. Sustained investment is critical to keeping these services available and expanding capacity to meet growing community needs.

The Need: Facility Challenges

CURRENT BUILDING:

  • Former Whig Hill Elementary School (built in 1930s)

  • Occupied by the Center since 1982 (42+ years)

  • Key challenges

    • Aging infrastructure

    • Outdated systems

ACCESSIBILITY LIMITATIONS:

  • Increasing demand due to:

    • Aging participant population

    • Greater mobility needs (wheelchairs, walkers, lifts

  • Operational inefficiencies impacting staff support
